10-Day BC Grizzly/Goat Combo Hunt
with option to add black bear, wolf, and wolverine

This hunt is only available November 6-15, 2010 and will take place in northern BC, near Smithers. Grizzly will be targeted on salmon streams using boats as the bears congregate for their final source of available food before hibernation.

~The late season ensures that trophies will have exceptional hides. A wide variety of color variations can be found in this area. Boone & Crockett grizzlies squaring over nine feet have been taken here.~

Camp consists of comfortable cabins with wood stoves and hot showers to provide as many comforts as possible. Black bear, wolf and wolverine may also be pursued on this trip at no charge and may be encountered while hunting grizzly along the riverbanks. Tags must be purchased in advance.

 

Mountain goat & moose are available in a different area and may be pursued after relocating. The high bidder will have the option of extending the hunt to include a second leg to ensure ample opportunity for additional desired species.

Mountain Goats are world class with 10” billies being common! This area is managed exclusively for trophy class billies. As a result, the outfitter has never taken a nanny, and billies have measured up to 11” with an average of 10” horns. For those looking for an exceptional trophy goat with a great late season coat, this is a wonderful opportunity!

The Canadian moose average 50”, and although traditionally this may not be the best time to hunt moose, it has proven to be very successful. The accumulating snow at this time of the year drives the moose down from the high country. (This can provide a good opportunity for hunters with limited mobility.)

 

Value of the hunt is $15,000 (+6% HST). The hunt is what we are auctioning here. Trophy fees of $5,000 each for grizzly, goat, and moose are payable to the outfitter only after the trophy is taken. Other species are available for no trophy fee.

Total license and tag costs will be approximately $2,500 if all species are desired.

This hunt is designed with the intent that the hunter score with both grizzly and goat. Success on moose has been excellent as well. When you realize that extra days are available and black bear, wolf, and wolverine can be taken at no additional charge, you will see that this hunt is quite a mixed bag opportunity.

Bids accepted online only (no phone calls please)

All reasonable bidders will be contacted by email Monday, August 23, 2010 announcing the current high bid amount. Each bidder will then be given the opportunity to submit an additional bid. A second and final email will be sent approximately one - two hours before auction close, again announcing the current high bid. All bidders may then submit their final bid before auction close.

Bidding will close at noon Wednesday, August 25, 2010 (Central Time). The high bidder will be contacted by phone immediately after the auction close and will be also posted on GSCO web site.

Hunter is responsible for travel and trophy exportation costs
